
You will assist our Production Manager in completing administrative tasks such as managing purchase orders, sourcing and comparing vendor quotations, maintaining effective supplier relationships, and helping ensure successful and timely delivery of goods. You will also support the sales team by providing up to date pricing and lead times for purchased items.
Experience required
• 1-2 years’ experience in a procurement role
• MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system
• Purchasing cycle, including purchase order creation and progression
• Documentation used in procurement and supply
• Knowledge of different classes of inventory
• Maintaining relationships with external suppliers
• Health and safety guidelines and quality procedures
Skills & Qualifications
• Microsoft Office skills essential – Word/Excel
• Data input into ERP system
• Strong organisational skills including attention to detail
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes desirable
• Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
This contract role is anticipated to last six months. You will work alongside our engineers to adapt and modify existing designs on a complex, time-critical electro-mechanical product for use in well abandonment.
• Experience designing precision machined parts, milled and turned, CNC
• Ability to produce detailed design & manufacturing drawings
• Collaborative approach working alongside our engineers
• Own SolidWorks licence & hardware desirable (2024 or later)
